Tight deadline, so be quick!
Okay so anyway, here begins a slew of pieces that are pretty outdated by now. I recently got the green light though, so time for a dump.
Almost two years ago by now, I was asked by Dave Igo to collaborate with him on a test illustration for Sideshow Collectibles, the company where he works.
The test was a success, and since then I've worked on a number of different pieces, with multiple equally talented artists.
This was the first official piece I colored for Sideshow.
The line art for Galactus was provided by Daniel Alexander and the line art for Silver Surfer was drawn by Dave Igo himself .
I actually ended up drowning out some of the crazy detail Dani put into Galactus, but hope it still sells the scale.
Each of these prints is based on a sculpture (in this case 2). Silver Surfer was sculpted by Tony Cipriano and Galactus by the Pablo Viggiano Sculpture Studio: [link] .
More stuff on the way!
SilverSurfer and Galactus are obviously property of Marvel Comics.
this fking rox man
I couldn't help but wonder how some of the artists working on this guy on a monthly basis must feel. I wonder if there's a point where you just stop caring that you just spent the last half hour just rendering a dude's abs, for the hundredth time...
